STM opened the offices in Udine for developing and marketing radCASE, a tool for the development of embedded software.
radCASE is an integrated tool suite for software development which implements a comprehensive methodology aimed at improving, simplifying and reducing the time of design, development and testing activities for software engineering. It can be profitably used in a wide range of embedded system applications.
radCASE integrates the most important software engineering standards and methods, including OO, MDD, UML, IEC61131-FUPs and ANSI-C code programming. It is an all-in-one tool able to cover all the development steps, from requirements specification through to remote visualization and documentation. All project information is stored in a central, hierarchical and redundancy free model database.
radCASE generates simultaneously the complete target code for any embedded system, as well as the relative PC simulation and remote visualization software, without requiring any engineering re-work. It provides Rapid Prototyping by reality-like off-line simulation, reproducing complex systems, using the same diagnosis features and parameter settings of the real hardware. This allows performing early project validation with customers, without hardware prototypes.
radCASE provides a multi-user, comfortable, graphic development environment (IDE), allowing Engineering Teams to easily model systems and software. It creates multilingual applications and documentation, managing simple text tables with full UNICODE support.
radCASE is a multipurpose tool chain, integrating its own powerful tools, libraries and templates, thirds-party target code compilers and the state of the art in terms of technical documentation, for learning, helping and referencing to all its features.
