The DDD is to be attached to the net and is activated when it contacts water. It produces a random ultrasound frequency that oscilates between 1 and 500 KHz, and does not allow the dolphins to adapt themselves to the signal. The device has a logic part with a 16 bits microprocessor which controls the automatic switch-on when sunk in water, low battery alarm, power circuit command randomizing the output signals and the power part with the output transducers.

It works with internal (sealed) 1,6 Ah NiMH rechargeable batteries, to be charged from the external poles through the STM special battery chargers. The device gives acoustic warning before the batteries run out. 	The DDD 03L (low) version is to be used for aquaculture and ports when the minimum quantity present is 5 units.  Batteries duration: 300 hours.	The DDD 03H (high) version is to be used for short set nets or moving nets (trawler, purse seine, long lines).  Batteries duration: 40 hours.
	The DDD 03N (normal) version is to be used for long set nets (at least 1 km) whith a minimum quantity of 5 units.  Batteries duration: 120 hours.	The DDD 03U (ultra) version is to be used for squid fishing with single line.  Batteries duration: 8 hours.

On demand the emission formats may be changed, developing specific software.
